Piles of Paper Scraps!

Just wanted to check in from under piles of paper scraps and let y'all know that orders are going out the door as quickly as possible! Sadly, we've had some ongoing illness in the family that has put us behind. Just when we were recovering from the computer crash... Rest assured, the new site won't be up and taking more orders until all existing orders have gone out which is why we're waiting until March to launch it.

The good news is that with the extra help I've hired, orders will be going out the door at lightning speed! Thanks so much for your patience! (~And also for all of the sweet emails you sent when you've signed up for the prize package at http://ShopPaperologie.com !)

We're really excited about the new site, however right now we're concentrating all of our energy (~And sleepless nights!) on filling existing orders. :)

XO,
Renee'

'Tis the Season

There she is.
My tree.
I love it.
We had it up on Black Friday this year! How in the heck did I get that organized??!!
Although I think the more I frequent Hobb Lobb's 50% off sales, the more crap gets piled on every year. That's okay. I like trees where you can't see the tree! We totally get into the holiday spirit around our house! While we decorate, it's tradition to drink peppermint hot cocoa (~Complete with a candy cane hooked over the side of the mug!) and have our TV tuned in to the "Songs of the Season" TV music station. It's nice. I feel all Martha Stewarty on that day. So far from the truth that really is! Ha! Ah well, a girl can dream, can't she?

Where does time go?

All right.
Who made off with my last two weeks?
They're gone.
Poof!
Into thin air, there they went.
I'd like them back please.
Yeah, wouldn't that be nice.

I know this is extremely belated, but I hope y'all had a happy Thanksgiving, watched a lot of football, ate lots of carbs... All that good stuff... (At our house we do that on the weekends anyway, but Thanksgiving at least gives us a good excuse.)

The above photo was my entryway table a few weeks ago. I bought some chocolate colored burlap (Wow- the price of that stuff is really great! Like, under a dollar per yard!) as well as some matching tulle (Very inexpensive as well.), and clouded the tulle over the burlap. I don't know if you can tell in the photo, but I think it makes a nice foundation for the spread. The price makes it even sweeter. Love those Hobb Lobb 50% off sales!

I am happy to say that my Christmas tree is up, the house is decorated, and my Christmas shopping was done way back on Black Friday. (Sidenote: I know why it's called "Black Friday", but it just sounds so omnious to me... Like, the Black Plague or something... Weird, I know... Although to husbands and boyfriends across the country, I'm sure it is an omnious day. Lol.) I totally didn't have the patience to brave the crowds at the mall, so I took advantage of some great free shipping offers at online stores. All my shopping. Done online. First year ever for that. Loved it.

Did you know there are some really great, large online stores that take Paypal?

Smart Bargains
Toys R Us
Overstock
Avon
Eastbay

I know there are some more big ones- I just can't think of them right now. Okay, now that I've given these to you, you have to promise not to stalk the designer handbag and sunglasses sections at Smart Bargains and Overstock and steal any good deals away from me!!! I bought this fabulous MICHAEL Michael Kors bag from Smart Bargains that was originally over $350 for a little over a hundred. I tried to find a photo to show y'all, but the particular style I carry is gone. Merry Christmas to me. Speaking of Christmas, on my next blog post, I'll show photos of our Christmas decorations! (Don't worry, I'll crop out the sky high pile of laundry that needs to be folded.)

Have a happy handmade holiday season!

Love to all of you!

Renee'

LIFE CRISIS

I made a trip to my mother's home.
To use their computer.
The above photos are photos I took with my iPhone and uploaded onto my mother's computer so I could post them. They are showing what is left of my beloved computer. I have no idea what happened.
All of my files are temporarily gone.
All of my self-created Photoshop brushes.
Gone.
All of my Publisher tag and label documents that are already laid out.
Gone.
All of my family photos.
Gone.
For the time being anyway.
For all of my wonderful, wonderful buyers, please bear with me as I get this fixed tomorrow so I can create your orders. If, God forbid, my files cannot be extracted, I'll have to have another computer over-nighted to me so I can begin re-designing everything. Obriously, shipping is going to be delayed until I get this fixed. I hope you all understand. Thankfully, the wonderful Etsy community is like one big family.
If I am not able to answer your convo or email right away, this is why. Please, please please be patient with me as I get through this. My connection to the outside world is lost. I just feel like part of me is gone. Temporarily.
If you say prayers or send positive thoughts, whatever it is you do, I really need them right now. Thankfully, I haven't turned to Ben and Jerry's or "the bottle" yet to numb this helpless feeling, but they're both tempting. :) I do feel like I should be holding a candlelight vigil in front of my monitor though. :)
Humor is all I have right now. If I didn't have that, I'd be curled up in bed crying. Seriously.
I will get everyone's orders sent out just as soon as humanly possible. You have my word as a lady.
Love to you all,
Renee'

Christmas spirit!

Good morning everyone! I was feeling the Christmas spirit last night to the max, so I thought I'd make my first set of Christmas cards for the shop. There are only nine sets available, so if you like 'em, run, don't walk, over to Paperologie! Have a happy day everyone!

More Than Paper

Yes, this is Paperologie's blog.
Yes, this probably will have a lot of paper-related type every week.
However, I'm more than paper.
So, you're gonna get more than paper from now on.
It's quiet at my house while everyone else is asleep during all of the crazy hours I work.
I need to blog.
My blog is my new best friend.
Sad, isn't it?
I've been holed up in my home working like a freak of nature on orders (Including some Paperologie goodness for some upcoming top secret scrapbooking kit clubs!)
This friend listens without judging.
It never interrupts.
I could get used to this.
So, sneak a peek at my diary.
It's not under lock and key.
(Although depending on what I admit on here, maybe it should be! Lol.)

Anyway, today I found the most perfecto scarf. Classic. Chic. Really cozy looking. It's at Nordstrom, ladies. Get it while it's hot! Err, cold? Click on the photo if you want to buy it.

Well, it's after 1AM. My mint green tea is begging to be brewed.
Have a happy and creative day everyone.

XO,
Renee'
